Black Veil Brides wins ‘Most Dedicated Fans’ at APMAs

I really don’t get why people are making such a huge deal about this. Not to mention that most’s beef seems to be with the fact that they beat out My Chemical Romance in that category. This is one of the awards that, without a doubt, is meant to be determined by the votes. This award has little to nothing to do with the music, and everything to do with how far fans are willing to go for their favorite band.

Yes, MCR is huge. Yes, they have huge fan base. But so does BVB. Like them or not, this is one fact that you cannot deny, and it is the only thing that mattered in this award.

The way I see it, it breaks down into who had more of what type of fans. Fans that like the band, will do stuff when the band is doing something to support them and keep up with the band’s progress and what they’re up to. And then there’s the fans that worship and idolize the band. It comes down to a quantity vs quality battle.

A quick Facebook search will tell you that MCR at least seems to have a higher quantity of fans than BVB. Then how did BVB win? Simple, it’s about the most dedicated fans, and, I don’t know if I’ve been looking the wrong places, but I haven’t seen fans that are so freakishly into their band of choice other that Bieber fans. I’ve seen pictures of many a shrine in the room’s of boys and girls that are fans of BVB.

Lets say that every fan of MCR votes once or twice. If we round that out a bit it brings up to 23 billion votes. On the other hand, if BVB fans vote 10 times (I saw a girl that posted that she wanted BVB to win in every category ‘cause she voted for them 10 times in every category they were in) it brings them to a whopping 30 billion votes. And you can be sure that there fans that voted way more than 10 times.

It all sums up to this being the one award that you really don’t have much to say against because it’s the one that is really determined by votes because the quality of the band has little to do with it.

On a side note, I didn’t vote for either band. For that matter, I didn’t vote for or even watched the APMAs altogether.

It took the photographer who took this photo 8 hours to set up the camera in the centre of the venue so he could take this simple photo during Youngbloods in October 2013, pretty cool in my opinion :)

Fucking flawless

This deserves every note it gets for the photographer’s and Amity’s sake.
